Aorta

The aorta is the lifeline of the body — it’s the first vessel that receives blood from the heart and delivers it to every organ. When it fails, everything downstream suffers.

Aortic aneurysm surgery

Aortic aneurysm surgery is a procedure to repair a weakened and bulging section of the aorta — the main artery that carries blood from your heart to the rest of your body.

The goal is to prevent rupture or dissection, which can cause fatal internal bleeding.

Abdominal aortic aneurysm surgery

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm surgery is performed to repair a weakened and enlarged section of the abdominal aorta — the main blood vessel that runs from the heart through the abdomen to the legs.

The purpose is to prevent rupture, which can cause massive internal bleeding and is often fatal.

TEVAR and EVAR

TEVAR and EVAR changed vascular surgery forever — we no longer have to open the chest or abdomen to repair the aorta. We enter through the arteries, deploy a graft, and rebuild the aorta from within.
